Yes. Distant Vows conducts live online wedding ceremonies using a Utah marriage license and a licensed Utah officiant. After the ceremony, the completed marriage record is submitted to the county.
Do both of us have to be in the same location?
No. You and your partner can join the ceremony from different states or countries.
How many witnesses do I need for my wedding?
Two witnesses are required. You can provide your own witnesses, or Distant Vows can provide them for an additional fee.
How quickly can we be married?
Most couples are married within about 3 days of signing up through our portal. If you need to get married sooner, we also offer an expedited option for an additional fee that can allow you to be married within 24 hours.
What documents do I need to get married?
Both partners need valid government-issued identification when applying for the marriage license.
Can I marry someone who is incarcerated?
Yes. The incarcerated partner must participate in the wedding through both video and audio.
